Position Summary: 

Responsible for supporting loanDepot’s enterprise and consumer technology solutions by creating graphical user interfaces and workflows that meets customer needs, enhances user experience, and helps the company deliver on strategic business goals. This role is responsible for lead generation and conversion optimization of digital products. Works closely with a team of passionate designers, product managers, and software developers to communicate concepts from pencil through high fidelity sketches including interaction flows, wireframes, storyboards, visual style, and assets for new and existing experiences. This position ensures the performance of all duties in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures, all U.S. state and federal laws and regulations, wherein the company operates.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Supports the design of intuitive, engaging, and effective user interfaces in a collaborative team setting.
  • Creates user-centered designs by considering market segment analysis, customer feedback, site metrics, and usability findings.
  • Translates brand guidelines and campaign objectives into user-friendly, high converting digital experiences.
  • Design the visual aesthetics, interface layout, and interaction flows of digital products and experiences.
  • Develops conceptual models, diagrams, wireframes, visual mockups, click-throughs and prototypes.
  • Creates and maintains detailed UI specifications, style guides, and reusable design patterns.
  • Leverages business goals and user research to help define user scenarios, use cases, and high-level requirements.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams, including Paid Media, to test and refine creative strategies, layouts, and messaging based on performance data.
  • Works closely with developers to ensure accurate implementation and consistent performance across devices and browsers.
  • Presents design work to the user experience team, product team, and stakeholders for review and feedback.
  • Conducts A/B and multivariate testing to optimize UI for conversion rates, engagement, and lead quality.
  • Uses key web analytic tools and leverage user- session recordings to uncover friction points and improvement opportunities.
  • Supports the continuous improvement of and leads the creation of user experience tools, documentation, and processes.
  • Manages workload and priorities to deliver key initiatives on schedule.
  • Produces design deliverables for engineering teams and support development.
  • Stays up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor experiences to inform design strategies.
  • Performs other duties and projects assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in design or human-computer interaction (HCI) preferred and minimum of four (4) + years’ experience as a user experience designer, interaction designer, or similar role.
  • Experience with lead generation and conversion optimization required.
  • Experience in the Fintech, Financial Services, or Mortgage industry preferred.
  • Proven skills in interaction design and user experience principles required.
  • An online portfolio or samples of work demonstrating experience creating beautiful, user-centered design solutions required. Work must include landing pages, funnels and performance marketing assets that demonstrate data-driven impact.
  • Strong record of iterative design, working closely with customers, peers, and developers from inception through implementation required.

Base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay for this role is between $60,000 and $104,500. Your base pay will depend on multiple individualized factors, including your job-related knowledge/skills, qualifications, experience, and market location.
