Job Description
The MIS Help Desk Technician provides end-user support and exceptional customer service for IT related requests. The MIS Help Desk Technician will interpret, analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve technical problems while following organizational policies and procedures. The MIS Help Desk Technician works with the MIS Systems Analysts and management in a team environment on both extended and time-sensitive projects.
Education Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED (required)
Associate's Degree in Information Systems
Computer Science or related field (preferred)
Experience
Experience providing quality customer service
Experience maintaining and troubleshooting technology hardware
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, network LAN/WAN design and operations, POP3, SMTP, Exchange Servers, and Microsoft Active Directory
Program Management
Follows proper procedures for receiving and storing department inventory
Compiles information or data and produces appropriate reports
Maintains confidentiality of data including digital and physical files and proprietary information
Provides assistance with maintenance and support for server software and hardware
Provides assistance with video conferencing operations and related software
Provides support and troubleshooting to end-users for PCs, software applications, printers, VoIP telephones, and other technology hardware or software
Responds to requests for technical assistance submitted via phone and online ticketing system
Performs other duties as assigned
